The last few days of July and the first few days of August was when our Stake Girls Camp was scheduled. Wife got to go with Big sister. Big sister's 3rd year, Wife's 4th. Husband was able to get some time off to come up and help the first day. Thanks to Husband's sister for taking the younger 3 for us so we could make that happen! Husband proved invaluable in helping to get all the tents set up. There were constant cries of "Brother Beck!" from all over the camp. I think he had a hand in putting up pretty much every single tent except Wife's. The first day was hot, and wife was worried about girls ending up dehydrated like last year. She and her adivsors were the crazy ladies constantly asking everyone when the last time they'd had a drink from their water bottle and asking them what color their pee was. Hahaha! But it worked, nobody collapsed on our watch this time! We managed to get a picture of Daddy and big sister before Daddy had to head home on day 2.
Girl's Camp was a blast. We went on a beautiful hike on a perfectly overcast day. I love being with my daughter and my daughter from another mother.
Big sister had a good time and was always surrounded by good friends
Heading out on the lake - big sister participated, Wife did not. Big sister didn't stay very long, some of the girls didn't take long falling out of their canoes and she wanted no part of that. She and some friends came right back and took a hike around the lake instead.
This picture kind of sums up the week. That's wife's cot. Hanging from the ceiling. At 2:00 in the morning. Big sister and her friends couldn't sleep so they came in to Wife's tent and hung out for a bit. I walked them back and then spent half an hour getting all the other girls settled into their tents. When I got back, my advisors had done this and were pretending to be asleep/innocent. LOL never leave a cot unattended!
Mommy with all the awesome leaders. Girls Camp is always a fantastic week!
