For Spring Break in April this year, we planned a trip to Capitol Reef. On our way down, we stopped at a fun little restaurant that had a train running throughout the whole building. The kids had fun watching it, and rather enjoyed the ice cream that came with their meals.
Once we got there, we set up camp and then went on an exploring walk to the visitor's center
We had to take a few breaks along the way. Big brother was cold and ended up needing mommy's jacket because he didn't bring his.
This was a cool little workshop they've preserved, complete with a history narrated by one of the people who lived here in the early 1900's.
We made it to the Visitor's Center! Darn it all, it was closed...
Enjoying our walk back to the campsite
Enjoying our meal back at the campsite
A big plus when you're camping with kids - being close to the bathroom!
