The day before Halloween, we decided that since the kids were off it was a good time for some four-wheeling with my dad. Big sister brought along her bestie and a fantastic time was had by all. Not too cold, but we brought grandpa's camper just in case. We were thankful for the heater when the clouds decided to hide the sun and therefore the heat. Here is big sister going for a ride with Daddy
Big sister's friend was very brave and rode with Grandpa. We were tempting fate a bit - it's been 5 years since his accident at these same sand dunes on Halloween weekend. But fortunately no accidents, and big sister's friend says she had a blast.
Big brother, little brother and little sister - all ready to go!
We had a few hiccups with the four-wheelers, but ultimately everyone got to ride for a while, we had yummy food (a necessity!) and we simply had fun as a family. We had tin foil dinners for dinner and then packed up and headed home. It was a bit too cold to spend the night, and with it being Halloween the next day we wanted to start the day in our own home so we had time for all the fun Halloween stuff. A successful trip to the dunes, the kids all want to know when we're going back!
