These boys were dying to rake up leaves, so we let them have at it!
Cute helper boys!!
For our fall break this year we went to Little Sahara with wife's parents and the four wheelers. It was fairly pleasant weather when we got there and the kids loved playing outside in the sand. They rode around on their scooter and ate way too many snacks. I lost count of how many bags of chips big brother ate. The first night Daddy and little brother slept in the tent the first night, which little brother loved. It was a bit cold and windy in the morning, but with helmets and goggles we did a bit of riding anyway. Eventually, it got WAY too windy and we were grateful we could escape to the trailer. We watched movies and played some card games. The wind died down a bit in the evening, long enough for Daddy to teach big sister how to work a manual transmission on the four wheeler we borrowed from Aunt Shaye. She was nervous at first, but quickly got the hang of it and then was thrilled with the power of riding a 400 as opposed to a 250 or 90. Little sister was happy to have the 90 all to herself, and they puttered around the camp site like crazy. Little brother was happy to ride behind anyone who would give him a ride, and big brother joined in sometimes, too. My kids play together so well most of the time, I love it. Unfortunately, Grandpa's machine broke down and then so did Daddy's. Good thing we still had a couple running! We ended up cooking the beef stew in the dutch oven in the camper, it was too windy to maintain a flame. It was yummy all same. We moved all of Daddy and little brothers stuff into the camper and squeezed in for the night since the wind was trying to take off with the little tent. The next morning the weather was perfect, and we made the most of the morning getting in as much riding as we could before it was time to head back home. It was a fantastic fall break!
Little brother's ready to ride!
Big brother loves coloring. And Uno. And soda.
Big sister working that 400!
Little brother along for the ride.
Little sister's got the hang of this driving thing!
Always gotta bring the tools so Daddy and Grandpa can work on fixing whatever breaks...
