Before - playroom
After - playroom & kids room
Before - bathroom
After - bathroom
It's been a little over a year since we moved from our cinder block apartment in student housing to our beautiful home. We have enjoyed having the option of painting the walls to make it seem more like our home, without worrying about not getting our deposit back! So far, we have painted the kitchen family room, our bedroom and bathroom, and last weekend we spent some time painting our kids bathroom, playroom and bedroom. We painted the bathroom a really pale yellow and the color for the rooms is called classic taupe. Thanks to Aunt & Uncle for taking the kids. Heaven knows they are less than helpful around paint. I did let B help me paint the bathroom, though. She painted the wall behind the toilet, and then I rolled over it with my roller. You can't tell the difference between that wall and the others, so she did a good job! You can probably barely tell the difference in the bathroom pictures, but it was cream colored before and now it is yellow. In person, it makes a big difference and matches the yellow in the shower curtain really well! It is sure fun to make this house feel more like ours! We are still in the process of finishing a playroom in the basement so we have a bedroom for the new baby as well as a place for all those toys. I'm sure we'll paint that ourselves and we'll be painted out for awhile. The only things left that we haven't painted yet is our front room and the hall. Maybe next November!
