Since Little brother's and big sister's birthdays are so close together, we did a 2 for 1 family party. We BBQ'd some hot dogs and hamburgers, had a little watermelon and potato salad, and of course did the cake and ice cream thing.

The boy looks a little confused. Fortunately, little sister knew exactly what to do and blew his candle out for him. Little brother did not eat any of his cake. Not interested at all!
We took everyone in for their well-visits. Here's some stats:
Big sister:
6 years old
41 lb (25th percentile)
43" tall (25th percentile)
In other big sister news, she scored 101 out of 102 on her Kindergarten testing last week - AWESOME! They didn't have time to finish her reading test, but when they ran out of time they were at the mid-first grade reading level. Yup. She's a smarty pants. They'll finish her testing this week sometime and see what her real reading level gets up to!
Little sister:
3 years old
28.5 lb (25th percentile)
35.5" tall (20th percentile)
This is a big deal - last year her weight barely registered on the charts! She has been so much better about eating lunch and dinner. What a difference that makes!
Little sister also started preschool this week. She is delayed in speech and communication, probably from not being able to hear when her ears were so full of wax! She gets to ride the bus and her teacher seems fabulous. She is excited to be big like big sister! (Although she looked awfully tiny getting on that bus this morning!)

23 lb. 10 oz. (60th percentile)
25.5" tall (45th percentile)
head circumference 19.5" (97th percentile)
Yup. He's got a big head! And he's a little on the chunky side. He pulls himself up and walks around the furniture a little. It's a little strange that the girls were both walking by 10 months and the boy shows no interest. It could be that he has more weight to heft around!
