Summertime

The summertime craziness is in full swing!  A couple weeks ago we attended little sister's preschool graduation.  She was super excited, and definitely bursting (literally) with personality the whole time.  She was singing and doing the actions, but she would occasionally just burst out with some wiggly craziness!  Her teacher obviously knows our girl very well, because she was given a yellow graduation cap and a yellow lei to wear.  She loved that!  Little brother especially loved the program - he squealed and clapped excitedly through most of it!  She is all ready to start kindergarten in the fall.  We sure love this teeny girl! 

 

Big brother finished his last day of preschool this week.  He only went for a couple months, but it's amazing what a difference it has made in his speech.  He is progressing so well, and is even starting to repeat prayers with us.  It's just miraculous to me that he is speaking so much now.  His bus driver said she loved how sweet he is, and the teachers at the preschool told me that he is the sweetest little boy and very easy to love.  Everyone is enamored with him, apparently!  So good to know that he's in good hands when he goes.  I can't say enough great things about the early intervention program.  He has lately been insisting on wearing his "Minnie" ears around.  We've tried to convince him that they're Mickey, but he just looks at us like we're nuts and says Minnie.  Funny boy. 

 

Last night we got to go to a dance recital for the girls.  They were so excited to perform and wear their costumes, and they looked adorable!  I could tell that they had worked very hard on their dances.  Big sister is very graceful, and her teacher told me that she loves how hard she works.  She takes ballet very seriously!  Little sister did jazz and loved making the sequins on her costume dance while she did some awesome shaking of that teeny little booty.  She is full of personality, this one.  I wondered if I'd be able to tell from where we were sitting  which one she was.  No trouble at all - the one striking the starting pose with serious flare and attitude was obviously my girl!  

We are now gearing up for the busiest month of our summer.  Little brother turns one this weekend.  WHERE does the time go?  My last baby is growing up so fast!  We will be doing his birthday party on the 4th of July, and ALL my sisters will be in town for that!  We'll have a good group of family between mine and husband's, that's for sure!  We are also planning a week at the lake, which the girls are very excited about.  Once we get back from that we will hit the ground running on hosting husband's brother's wedding reception in our backyard!  Craziness!  But that is what makes life so great, right?
