The 24th of July (Pioneer Day to all you non-Utah folks) we did fireworks. That was pretty much all we could do to celebrate 'cuz husband had to work that day. Little sister, we have discovered, is terrified of fireworks. Everyone else gets excited, so she tries to psych herself up by saying "I love fireworks several times throughout the day, but in all honesty she hates them. So we sent her to bed early and she slept through the whole thing. Wife's family came over to have homemade ice cream and watch husband set off the fireworks.

Wife's sister came into town for little brother's blessing, so we spent a day at Lagoon. Thanks to wife's younger sister for staying with the boys, husband and wife were able to go with the girls. They had a blast and wore themselves out completely. Big sister still loves the wild rides - she went on Wicked and the old roller coaster! Little sister preferred the kiddie rides. She was not pleased that we made her do rattlesnake rapids again! Everyone had acted so excited, so she psyched herself up again by saying "I love waterfalls!" all day, but she cried from the second we sat down on the raft to the end. She became hysterical when we went under the big waterfall and got all wet. Oh, well. It was close to 100 degrees that day and it was good for her to be cooled off!

We spent the next day cleaning up the house and taking the kids swimming at the local rec center, which I have no pictures of. Husband stayed home with little brother and I was very grateful that there was lots of willing family members helping me keep track of the other 3 at the pool. The kids all had a fabulous time and slept so well that night. Yay!

We also celebrated husband's birthday yesterday. His family came over and we had a yummy steak dinner and some chocolate cake and ice cream. We sure love that guy!

I think Uncle Jon has him beat, though! (It was so fun to watch all the people watching the beard when Uncle Jon came to help bless little brother!)
And last, but not least, little sister started back to preschool! Today she is at the regular preschool, and in a few weeks she'll start back to the special needs preschool as well. She is so excited to be going to school every day! And, quite frankly, so am I! She needs somebody to play with besides mom! She picked this outfit out by herself at the mall. She saw yellow and had to have it!

Big brother's beard is pretty awesome though. The boys looked at that and said "Big Brother Funny!"
