A little banged up...

Husband and my dad went four-wheeling on Friday with Brodie's family and a friend of Brodie's. They got some good riding in until the chain broke on my dad's bike. Husband had been planning on coming home early instead of spending the night anyway, so he told dad to just ride his and he came home. Apparently, the four-wheeler gods were telling him something. Dad was out watching the sunset with Brodie's friend Donny. They came back to camp in the dark and Dad decided to see if gravity is really a law. It is. Actually, he really just ran into a rock, which knocked him off and rolled the fourwheeler. He has several cracked ribs and a cracked vertebrae, a bruised lung and a broken wrist. Not to mention some way fun road rash! Donny was able to help him onto his four wheeler and brought him back to camp, and then Brodie and his dad drove Dad back into Salt Lake and the hospital. Dad is in a lot of pain, and very tired, but expected to recover just fine. And now the debate ensues - buy a new four wheeler or try and fix the old one. As usual, we have our different ways of making a decision. Wife votes for a new one for Christmas. When husband is done researching the heck out of each option, he'll decide which way he wants to go. We'll keep you updated on that one! A big thanks to Jeremy for going back to retrieve husband's bike from the rock pile, and a big thanks to Donny for being there for dad! This rack holds Husband's little cooler and is made of pretty thick metal. It's snapped. And the plastics are cracked all along the side.

Controls are a little banged up . We think is must have been hotwired in order to get it back to camp.

To answer the question we are getting a lot of: No, this will not stop us from four-wheeling. The trick will be to keep dad from getting back on before he's all better!
