Not much...

Not much happening around here lately. We painted the front room and hall to match the rest of the house. It looks great! We are finally done painting! Until we finish the basement, that is! No more apartment white. We all know what a big deal that is! The entire house feels like ours now. Love it. I haven't taken the "after" pictures yet, so I'll post that later.

Big sister is loving kindergarten. She was student of the week this past week and loved the attention. All her classmates drew pictures of her and wrote down why she was a "star student." Every single kid said that she is nice, and most said that she was their friend. Gotta love that! Little sister is your typical two-year-old. She's a lot of fun and trouble! Her doctor has been concerned about her hearing since she wasn't speaking much and we couldn't understand her very well. He thought that the since he couldn't see her eardrums for the wax build up, we should get that cleaned out. So we went to an Ear, Nose & Throat doctor and had all the wax cleaned out. Big difference already! She hated having her ears cleaned out, though. They had to use a little vacuum type thing. She screamed the whole time and refused to do the hearing test. When the doctor came back in, she couldn't see him but she did hear his voice and she started screaming all over again. The doctor joked that he was going to have his own hearing checked later. The general consensus is that she can hear fine, now. We'll take her back for a screening if she stops learning new words. Baby Brother is a mama's boy. He loves daddy, but he twists and contorts to see/hear mommy better. He grins pretty big when he gets his way! He can get up on all fours and does the rocking thing sometimes. He's getting pretty close to crawling!

We are getting ready for Halloween. We have our candy dish out, decorations and spooky lights up. Husband says the piano looks like the sacrificial altar in Indiana Jones. Haha. I took a video 'cuz the lights showed up better. The lights are a string with pumpkins and spiders. Halloween is so fun! I'm loving watching the kids get excited!
