Mommy and the girls, getting all bundled up!
Mommy and the girls by some really cool lights!
Daddy and the girls by the same really cool lights!
It's been pretty hectic around here, as I'm sure it has been for everyone else! We actually went to Temple Square to see the lights over a week ago, but it's taken me this long to post about it. We bundled up the girls in their snow suits, or in B's case lots of layers, and headed downtown. We went pretty early, the sun hadn't been down long and the lights had just been turned on. It was the perfect time to go! We're glad we went last week because while it was cold, it wasn't frigid like it's been this week! We took advantage of Daddy's day off and left around 5:00pm It wasn't crowded and we were able to find parking easily. By the time we left downtown at 6:30 It was a ZOO!!! Tons of traffic, lots of cars waiting for our one spot in the parking garage, etc. But it was a lot of fun. The girls were so good and really enjoyed seeing the lights and the Christmas Story they always have on the lawn next to the tabernacle. B wanted to listen to the narration and watch the different parts of the nativity light up over and over again. M is content to be outside or in her stroller and was thrilled to be able to both for the first time in months, so she just sat there quiet and content. It was fun and I think we'll play it the same next year! Go before the crowds come!

We took the boys on Wednesday night and we too went just as they were turning on the lights. It was so frigidly cold, you're right! Luckily we bundled up pretty good, the boys were in their snowsuits, we looked like we could be going sledding, instead of seeing lights. KC loved the nativity too, and the "statue of Jesus" (he called it) in the visitor's center. Next year we should go together, that would be fun for the kids. You're girls are getting so big! And you don't even look pregnant! No fair! Take care, and Merry Christmas!
i wish we could have taken our girls to see the lights there. Sounds like fun. How did you get Tracy to make stockings for the kids too?
I use her afghan all the time. I just love it! Miss you!
