Time is slipping away from me again! Big Brother had his (3rd) preschool graduation. He threw a bit of a fit before going - he wasn't sure what was really going on, and that always brings a fit. Darn it. I made him go, and once he was with his teacher and classmates all was well. He sang all the songs and had a blast. Here he is with his teacher, Miss Amber. She was an assistant when both the girls were at this preschool, so she's known and loved my older 3 kiddos now. We love her, she's just fantastic! On to kindergarten! We're super excited, he'll be going all day on Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday. He's going to do so great!
The girls had their dance recital. Here is little sister, the star of her class. That's not just mama being boastful, she's the oldest in her class and has been doing jazz longer than all of them. She is not one to be thrown off by anybody else - they stuck her right in front and she just did the whole dance exactly right. She had practiced and practiced, and it paid off. She is adorable!
Big sister was in 2 dances. They performed one just in their black leotard, skirt and tights. Then she got to be an angel for the 2nd dance. She danced so gracefully. She has a real talent for it! She has unfortunately decided that she is done with dance. But what a way to end her dancing career. I was so proud of my beautiful girl!

The very next morning we were up bright and early so that I could set up for a recital for my piano students. They all did so great! Some have no fear and just get up there and go for it, no problem. Th others that struggle to get up in front of everyone I was even more proud of, because it is much harder for them. Both our girls did great!
The weekend before the 4th of July we went camping just up the canyon for 2 nights. This seems to be how little brother travels to our campsites:
My family came up the 1st night and we had tinfoil dinners and peach cobbler, and the kids roasted marshmallows and had s'mores.

In the morning we had a yummy dutch oven breakfast, and then we went to doughnut falls. Tiffany came with us - I have to say it's so nice to have an extra adult around! Daddy took big sister all the way up to the doughnut.
We headed back to our campground and had hot dogs and pineapple for lunch. Then we went up to Silver Lake. This one's one of our favorites. We brought bread to feed the ducks, and I was so glad we did! There was a mama with about 9 baby ducklings, and they were loving the snack. The kids were so excited to watch all the babies swim after the crumbs they threw.

and marshmallows.

In the morning, we had buttermilk pancakes and then the kids all pitched in to help us pack up.
The day after we got back from camping, it was little brothers birthday. He was happy with leftover pancakes from camping for breakfast, and then he wanted McDonald's for lunch. Mommy had a sore throat, so he had to come to the doctor's office. Fortunately the doctor had Iron Man stickers, so that made his day. His big request for dinner was tacos. If he could've had his way, we'd have had tacos for every meal.
At the store he picked out lemon cake with lemon frosting and "the ice cream with the pink lid" (sherbet). I can't believe he's 4!!!!
The 4th of July we always have little brother's big family party. He was especially thrilled with his Lightning McQueen bat and ball.
Cousin Alex is so great to play with the little kids. They just love him!
Homemade ice cream is a must. Here is Aunt Summer making the most of her serving...
We went to my sister's in-law's house and watched the city fireworks for the first time. The girls loved it, the boys just wanted to ride bikes on the driveway. Funny kids.
