It was time for our annual trip to Lagoon. We were excited that little sister was really tall enough and old enough to go on the rides and enjoy them. We left brother with a babysitter for the day and didn't tell the girls where we were going. Big sister was very surprised, little sister wasn't sure what to think. We hit the bumper cars and the girls liked that. Big sister steered very well, little sister sat in her car in a corner and didn't move. They also liked the dragon fly, a rotating swing ride. We did several of the "intermediate" rides and little sister wasn't quite sure what to think of some of them, but she liked others. She refused to get on the Junior speedway. It's a car with 2 steering wheels that just rides around a track. She kept pointing at the airplanes and screamed bloody murder when we tried to convince her to get in the car with big sister. Apparently she realizes that more people crash in cars than on planes? Anyway, she loved the airplanes, and the baby boats. We had lunch in Pioneer Village next to the log ride. The girls loved watching the people hitting the water from the drop up above. Big sister was begging to go. We asked little sister and got an emphatic NO. We went on the white water rafting ride, and little sister was not pleased. She didn't really get wet, but she didn't like it. Big sister loved it and insisted that we should hit the log ride. So we did. Little sister was, again, not thrilled. But Big sister loved it. Then we went and rode the carousel - little sister loved that! While Big sister did a few more bigger rides, little sister did a few more baby ones. Big sister loved the ride that raises you up and then drops you, and then a dragon ride that spins you forward and then backwards, all while doubling speed. Husband felt pretty dizzy after that one! They both loved the train ride, and the tigers and lions were even out, about, and moving! So cool! At the end, we went and got ice cream. Little sister ended up eating mommy's cinnamon roll 'cuz the ice cream was too messy for her. She doesn't like messy. Big sister, on the other hand:

Big sister got bubble gum ice cream. She eventually started spitting the gum balls out because there were too many. It melted ALL OVER. But, as you can see, she loved it. It was really fun, and we think little sister will love it even more next year when she's old enough to understand what's going on!

On the dragonfly - check out big sister's grin and little sister's uncertainty.

Lovin' the baby boats!

Little sister in her bumper car. She sat like this the whole time.

Fun, we went on the 10th. Aniika was tall enough to go on some of the big rides. She loved Spider, Wicked and Colossus. She even convinced us to let her go on the sky coaster! What a crazy kid! I loved it though. I love thrill rides and coasters. Ethan has never been impressed with them, so it is fun to have a child that does. Glad you had a good time!
The pics are so cute, I'm wanting to take my kids now! Suddenly I'm remembering being on the Flying Carpet and hearing a kid crying because he was scared. So when it stopped at the top, I said "Oh no, it's broke!" His mom was not too pleased. he he he
