We are LOVING summertime! We limped over the finish line of school, and now we are relishing in staying up a little later, sleeping in a little later, and not having somewhere to be every morning. Big brother still has a couple weeks of school left, but since it's only twice a week and the bus comes to our house to get him, that is no biggie! We are on week 2 of swimming lessons, and the kids are loving it. The older ones, anyway. The girls are becoming quite good little swimmers. Little sister gets super excited and spazzy sometimes, and then she sinks like a stone. She is still hilarious when she bobs back up, usually saying something like "Apparently I need help with that one!" Big sister can almost swim the whole length of the pool. Big brother is starting to grasp blowing air out of his nose, kicking, and using his arms. Unfortunately, he only does one of these things at a time, but we'll take progress, right? He, too, gets pretty excited. When he gets excited, his mouth goes wide open and his hands clench into shaking little fists up by his face. So he swallows a lot of water. He and little sister have some amazing burping contests. Ah, the proud moments of parenthood!
We also had the girls dance recital last week. They did fantastic. They rememered all their steps and danced with style. Here's some costumed pics for your viewing pleasure:
And Mommy and Daddy are busy training freaking out about Ragnar. We have researched and planned like crazy, and we're as ready as we're gonna get! Mommy's trying to keep her crowd anxiety at bay and Daddy's illiotibial band is causing him some pain, and we're really looking forward to not sleeping for 2 days, but we're going to have fun anyway. Right? RIGHT? It's so nice of my sister to come stay at my house and watch my girls, and so nice of my mother-in-law to take the boys. A post about how the race goes to come next week!

How fun to do a Ragnar! If I ever start to love running, I think one of those would be fun. Good luck with Aaron's IT band. I pulled mine ten years ago and finally got it diagnosed a few months ago. It certainly makes training more difficult. You guys will be awesome! And those are some pretty cute dancers.
